Artwork description:

This print is inspired by no specific place but by many places all rolled into one. It's very emblematic of the landscape I'm surrounded by and also  I hike through, almost daily, in the region of British Columbia where I live. But it could also call to mind similar beautiful parts of Alberta or, in the United States, Colorado, Utah, northern Oregon or Northern California just to name a few. The list is long.

To me it represents any place where in nature where your soul feels that it can expand, where you can hear the trees talk, and where your feet can plant themselves firmly on solid ground.
------------------------
This print is last and closing print in the Heron Road series - inspired by a year-long road trip along the back roads of North America.
------------------------
A seven-colour limited-edition reduction linocut, carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually.

Every print in this edition is unique; minor variations are possible and are the result of the process by which it's made. Colours may vary slightly depending on your monitor.

Each print bears the number within the edition and the artist’s signature.

Materials used:

Printmaking ink, battleship grey linoleum
