Original artwork description:

This painting is one of a series titled 'Poetic Florals'. A large-scale, highly impactful piece, it captures the vibrance of the rose flower - the myriad colours and subtle petal forms. I wanted to paint this at such a large scale to heighten the intensity of the experience, to allow the viewer to dissolve into a moment to be lost in a simple moment of beauty.

The title of the painting refers to the inspiring words of Lady Bird Johnson. They seemed to capture the feeling I wanted the piece to evoke - a blooming of hope, joy and optimism.

The original painting is now sold, however the work is now available as a beautiful, limited edition giclee print. These prints are made using the giclee printing process to ensure wonderful brightness and intensity of colour. The paper is highest-quality Hahnemuhle German Etching paper, which has a lovely feel and wonderful matte finish. Each print is signed and numbered on the front.

The prints are sold unframed and will be sent to you rolled in a sturdy postal tube.

Materials used:

Oil paint
