Original artwork description:

This painting is from the cycle "Relations", which arose from my interest in interpersonal relations. In nowadays society in which communication lacks, virtual reality and alienation are especially attractive topics, artists find their interests in. I explore this phenomenon by putting my figures in spotlight of public events. This is the way I want to provoke the initial idea: how honest actually are we with ourselves and others, are we ready and strong to be ours risking not to be accepted or are we all playing an old and well rehearsed game? I paint in oil on canvas medium. My paintings are usually large dimensions because I want to make stronger interaction with models on the painting with spectators and between models on the painting itself. My work usually represent group portraits of, as I would say, not accepted and lonely people, who, trying to solve that problem and get out of alienation, usually choose insincere and wrong paths for themselves

Materials used:

oil paint, linseed oil, turpentine, on linoleum
