Original artwork description:

From "The Three Trees" series which illustrates the four seasons. "When The World Was Old" is winter. I remember a beautiful snowy evening in January a couple of years ago when the sun was going down. The colours were magnificent, pure whites and deep shadows against the red and copper sky. A bird was hidden by the snow as it tried to peck at a worm from beneath.
The mosaic is made for an indoor space, it is not suitable for outdoors.

Materials used:

mosaic glass, millefiori tiles, ceramic tile, 24 carat copper gold leaf
