One of the things that's wonderful about painting on Dura-Lar (a paper that's a blend of mylar and acetate) is that you can paint on one side, then flip the paper over (it is either transparent or translucent), and then the underpainting (for back painting) shows through and adds depth to the surface. And because Dura-Lar is essentially a plastic paper, the paint is not absorbed and thus can be manipulated in interesting ways, and yet, once dried, it is archival and will not flake or chip. This is unframed, but matted and ought to be framed underclass. The deep cadmium orange gives way to light turquoise, then to teal and violet, there's a good bit of surface texture as well.
