Painting referencing the natural world and the choices we make in living our lives, specifically in this instance, the Tsunami that the Artist ran from with her husband and her 2 young children in 2004, ( in which they all survived ) with a focus on the horizon which so often features in Parr's work.
Exploring the relationship with the developing painting and the paint itself, the Artist seeks to find an emotional balance within the creation of the work.
The painting is signed on the canvas deep edge and is ready to hang.
