Original artwork description:

During a trip to the local zoo I got reference for this bison painting. It was a beautiful day and the light was just starting to fade. I developed the background a bit more to have a distant herd of bison barely visible. I always love paintings with some hidden easter eggs in them, I always appreciated Monet for this type of thing.
The bison is painted with a more painterly feel to it seen in the hairs that make up the coat.

Materials used:

williamsburg handmade oils gamblin oils, lindseed oil
