In celebration of recent efforts to decriminalize entheogenic plant medicines, I have been painting a series of interpretive portraits of trailblazing pioneers of the psychedelic sixties. In this portrait of Timothy Leary, one of the radical Harvard psychologists who helped popularize the therapeutic use of psychedelics, I tried to capture his flamboyant style of advocating that people use LSD and mushrooms to tune in and drop out.
