With only a small number of these majestic creatures remaining, they are classified as critically endangered and listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, signaling the urgent need for conservation efforts. The primary cause? Human activities such as overfishing, resource extraction, and tourism, all of which disrupt their natural habitat. Poor management and environmental oversight exacerbate the threats, endangering the whales' survival.
