This painting highlights the critical issue facing the bowhead whales of the Okhotsk Sea, a population that is on the brink of extinction. With only a small number of these majestic creatures remaining, they are classified as critically endangered and listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, signaling the urgent need for conservation efforts. The primary cause? Human activities such as overfishing, resource extraction, and tourism, all of which disrupt their natural habitat. Poor management and environmental oversight exacerbate the threats, endangering the whales' survival. This artwork aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting these vulnerable species.

At the end I use a coat of varnish, to protect the painting.
Signed on the front and back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
