Original artwork description:

Painted en plein air (outside on location) at Point Lobos Nature Reserve during Carmel Art Festival.
Located just off of Route 1 right after Monterey, Point Lobos is one of the hidden gems off the California coast. This is my favorite place to set up my field easel and paint.
Whalers Cove is incredible any time of day, but especially in the late afternoon and at sunset, when I painted this piece during a recent Carmel Art Festival. The ocean vistas, rocky shores, and hiking trails can easily be explored for days. It's such a peaceful and beautiful place to spend the day.

Materials used to create this artwork:
Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.

This painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang. It will easily fit into a standard (US) 11”x14” frame.
