341 - Whale Watching, Lipari
This painting was inspired by an old photgraph seen in Lipari in the Aeolien Isles off Sicily. It seem the the women powered the boat and someone up a pole looked out for the quarry.
Clearly the photograph was taken, some time in the early 20th century, on a clear calm day. Imagine the real experience.

This is painted on heavy duty 190gm, linen textured Acrylic/Oil paper and mounted in a card passe-partout 40cmx30cm
