As the tide retreats, it leaves behind wet sands with tickling rivulets of seawater making its way back to the sea. This study captures that moment when you're not entirely sure whether you are looking at wet sand or water, just as the sand banks are beginning to uncover. In the mists across the bay you can see the headlands of the lake district.
