An original Pencil drawing by Paul Stowe - Part of a series of drawings, this is the 12th showing people with water dripping off their face. The objective was to try and capture water in motion - a difficult task with just pencil.
This particular drawing was drawn during the filming of Paul's appearance on the TV art Show - Colour in Your Life, filmed in July 2017; The episode has been broadcast across the world and is still available to view on YouTube having been watched by 170,000 people!
Not only a fantastic drawing - but a slice of history also.
Drawn as always on smooth Bristol Board with Faber Castell 9000 series pencils and a Tomo Zero eraser - size for this drawing was 35cm X 47cm - Time Taken c40 hours.
Following a 20 year Hiatus Paul picked up his pencils again and started drawing back in 2012. Turning professional in 2016 Paul has won accolades across the globe, initially exhibiting and selling work in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand he now resides in the centre for contemporary British Art and the Tate Modern Gallery, St. Ives, cornwall.
From his open studio and commercial gallery in the town he spends hours, weeks and months drawing incredibly detailed images inspired by the plethora of artists and art in the local area.
