This is a preparatory sketch made before progressing to paint a large scale oil on canvas of the same subject.
I love the immediate dramatic effect that using ink creates......every mark counts and cannot be changed!
My series of black and white female portrait were selected for their suggestive alluring poses that leaves the viewer contemplating “what are they thinking”?
There is a 2cm white border around each edge to allow for framing.
