An original Pencil drawing by Paul Stowe - I split my work into various series, one of these series and probably the most popular of them all is the 'Wet Face' series - This drawing is my first in my series of 10 very large pieces to celebrate 10 years since I started drawing - these are the largest drawings I have attempted at over 1.2 meters and taking over 100 hours to complete.
Drawn as always on smooth Bristol Board with Faber Castell 9000 series pencils and a Tomo Zero eraser - size for this drawing was c80cm X 120cm - Time Taken c100 hours.
Following a 20 year Hiatus Paul picked up his pencils again and started drawing back in 2012. Turning professional in 2016 Paul has won accolades across the globe, initially exhibiting and selling work in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand he now resides in the centre for contemporary British Art and the Tate Modern Gallery, St. Ives, cornwall.
From his open studio and commercial gallery in the town he spends hours, weeks and months drawing incredibly detailed images inspired by the plethora of artists and art in the local area.
His work is on permanent display in the ry in St. Ives and with individual and corporate collections across the world.
The drawing is being sold unframed to reduce shipping costs - however I can offer a bespoke framing service as required - just send me a message to discuss.
*Images showing the drawing in a frame and in various room settings are for illustration purposes only.
