This beautiful Rose Window is located in the south transept of Westminster Abbey, London. It was designed by Sir James Thornhill and measuring at thirty-two feet across, it is the largest of its type. The window shows Christ surrounded by sixteen figures symbolising the Virtues and order of angels. In the outer circle thirty-two figures from Jewish and ancient tradition represent the preparation of the world for Christ.
This painting forms part of a wider collection of works which explores modern society's relationship with religion.
