Recently I went on a painting and drawing trip to the beautiful mysterious Yorkshire Moors. West Yorkshire is a ceremonial county in the Yorkshire and the Humber region of England. It borders North Yorkshire to the north and east, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire to the south, Greater Manchester to the southwest, and Lancashire to the west. The city of Leeds is the largest settlement. The landscape has undulating hills and valleys, greens tinged with yellow ochre, and russet browns sprinkled against the skies. The vast expanse of sky is dramatic and fast changing from the palest of blues to the deep dark grey of storm clouds.

Bring a little of this landscape into your home with one of my watercolours. The painting style is ‘speedy’ and 'swift' in order to try and capture the ever-changing colour.
