A dramatic representational painting using strong, bold colours and brushstrokes.
I love the way the hills of the Dales sweep behind each other, at times looking like waves of the sea. I am always struck by the movement of shadows across the fells which makes the hillsides come alive. The cast shadows of the clouds ensure that the landscape is constantly changing - given some sun! Here, a stone barn can be partly spied and then others can be spotted across the view.
I pride myself in giving a good service to purchasers as I want them to enjoy the picture and to be assured that it will arrive in top condition. All paintings are wrapped and boxed in heavy duty, double walled corrugated board.
