This Oil Pastel on black paper piece is one of series of early evening to night-time pieces that I did to try to capture the beautiful dancing lights reflected across the lake. I was looking forward to coming here mostly to draw these night-time scenes as I had done a few years earlier when I drew a Pagoda’s lights reflected on the lake at night. In this picture I could see the lights from the beautiful mountain top Wen-Wu Temple lighting up the clouds and reflecting across the rippling waves towards our balcony, it is a magical place! This is one of two pieces that were done “en plein air” from our balcony in the Lea Lea Hotel, trying to capture this beautifully atmospheric view.

Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
