The Welsh Mermaid is one of a pair of mermaid sculptures, with its counterpart being the Oregon Mermaid. Each is sculpted in a distinct style, but both draw inspiration from the mermaids at Allerton Gardens in Hawaii. While the Oregon Mermaid will be part of Beth’s memorial garden in Oregon, USA, the Welsh Mermaid will be placed in a tranquil spot in our garden here in Wales. The original Allerton Garden mermaids stand at either end of a flowing water feature, and I love the symmetry of my two mermaids now standing on opposite sides of the Atlantic—one in Beth’s home and the other in the Welsh hills where her memorial bronzes were crafted.
This bronze mermaid with an urn bears Tanya’s signature and a unique edition number. Your casting of the Welsh Mermaid sculpture will be personally approved and come with a certificate of authenticity.
