Original artwork description:

Wednesday , with Kp, Monchai, Gordon, Suchart & Mrs, Chittima, Bob is the complte title, clearly the names of the people in the portrait painting, in order.
Acrylic colours on Fabriano cold pressed watercolour paper, 300 gm, 30 x 41 in. 76 x 104 cm
Pre covid I would travel a few times a year to Bangkok, not so far away from where I live. Wednesday there has a major plants and flowers market at JJ. In Bangkok I get a change of scene, fresh art ideas. At the market I walk alongside plants and talk orchid talk with friends and associates. Finally I get time to put together a large, sketchy expressive, portrait painting of the people and subject (plants) that are close to me yet far away these past couple of years… I had fun composing this project for these personal reasons. But the painting is as much about the colour play and expressive brush strokes as it is about the subject.
The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
Then there’s the work in progress and me with the painting for perspective.
