'Weather Coming In' is a mono print and image transfer print based on a photograph taken while in Sokcho, South Korea. This print was exhibited at the Printmakers Council exhibition, 'Inkscapes' at the Horsebridge Gallery in Whitstable.
It is printed on Korean Hanji paper with oil-based relief ink and watercolour. Hanji paper is made from mulberry leaves. It has a distinctive texture and is simultaneously sensitive to print techniques and yet can stand up to several layers of processing. The fibrous nature of the paper becomes revealed as the print is developed and worked on, and due to this there may be wrinkles and areas where the paper has been worn thin. As watercolours are used in areas of this piece it is recommended not to display in direct sunlight. Please be aware the tones of this print are quite dark, and may look different on other monitors or devices.
This print comes presented in a neutral coloured window mount, ready to frame.
There may be printmaking marks or creases on the paper outside the image, which is due to the handmade nature of the printmaking, and also the texture of the paper used.
All artworks posted within the UK are sent by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed which (usually!) arrives the next day after dispatch before 1pm.
Artworks sent to Europe and beyond are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked, and usually arrive within a week of dispatch. The price for Global Shipping is set to cater for different sizes and weights of artworks; I always refund the customer the excess amount if the actual cost when I get to the Post Office works out cheaper. International shipments may be subject to additional import taxes, customs duties or fees imposed by the destination country, payable by the customer on receipt.
