we were carefree, acrylic and color pencils on canvas, 2017.
this painting is part of a serie made out of vintage advertisement about women and sexism.
i documented ad from last century until now with different use of women and tried to give it a new closure.
i also use color layering and work with RGB led to reveal each layer differently according to lights.
i want to reclaim female images and look at it as feminist art and improve the vision we have regarding woman in Arts and in general.
I always work by layers, shapes and colors, to create new bridges between the subject and the easthetic and find a solution in between.
body representation has evolved and we are now in an era where there is more acceptance and kindness towards women's appearance.
