Andrew McNeile Jones studied fine art at Ruskin School of Art, at Oxford University, in the 1980s. He then trained and worked in photography and film making for a number of years; he returned to painting in the early 2000s and has been a full-time painter since 2006.
He exhibits regularly in London and has also exhibited in several other European cities. He recently won first prize in the ING Discerning Eye exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London.
He now lives and works back in Oxford.
Much of his work is deeply influenced by his interest in film lighting and the creation of ‘tableaux’ which contain a narrative element.
