This is a unique and original PMS abstract geometrical assembled mixed media painting diptych. It is part of a series of highly textured, semi-design oriented pieces on canvas. This diptych has huge sweeping, streaking, and textured color that is mesmerizing to the eye and dares you to touch it. It is a unification of highly textured painterly and design techniques I have been developing over the years. These pieces are contrasted not only by the acrylic and oil mediums, but also by the bold structures and assembled painted fabric against the negative space. The color palette is mature and deep. The streaking, brick-like colors have almost a comic book style quality to them and the unique surface texture makes the colors pop even more out at the viewer. The unique dividing fabric structure in the left painting also continues onto the edges of this canvas to frame the piece as well as add an additional three dimensional design quality.
