This is a gouache painting created in an abstract manner but inspired with sea waves movement and reflections on the sea surface.
It is part of the series WAVING.
These paintings have a strong emphasis on colour and pattern.
For me pattern (ornament) is a way of visual expression of ideas.
I am interested in the rhythms of nature which I translate into visual language.
For this painting I decided not to conclude it in rectangular shape but rather in
more unconventional way.
Paintings are created with gouache colours on quality thick watercolour paper. Gouache technique is one of my favourites because the colours from different layers slightly mix together which results in rich and interesting colour shades.
