Original artwork description:

I wanted to show the emotions of the dancer, her body language, reflected in the background. It's my attempt to mix figurative techniques with elements of the abstract.

This painting is the first in a series of a collaborative effort, the dancer based on the wonderful photography of Chris Peddecord. With his kind permission I created this painting from his series of photos of the ballerina Jessica Lind.
