The color is of course, the thing driving this small oil painting, as well as the contrast between the deep blues and the white form, and the textures -- catching the glass-like curls of the waves with their complex reflections, as well as the chaos of the tumbling form, white with air and flung high by the wind. I enjoyed capturing the movement of water under these extreme circumstances. Framed in a 2.5 inch wide silver plein air frame (wood), that sets off this dynamic image without calling too much attention to itself. Signed and dated in verso, this work ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
