I began this painting from a photograph I had taken in a room in an abandoned village, then got carried away by the vacuity of the subject matter and completed the composition by merging it with sea water. The surface of the water, with its reflections and undulations, blends with the dress and the curtain, creating an effect of continuity and fusion between the subject and the surroundings. The mixed technique used includes the transfer of personal photographs, acrylic colors and the woman's portrait painted with oil colors.
