Original artwork description:

This is an original pop art style painting of a chunk of watermelon. The colours were painted in acrylics and the black outlines done using Posca paint pens.

I wanted to capture the natural bright colours of my favourite fruit in an exaggerated, pop art style. I'd previously painted this subject but this is slightly different as using the Posca paint pens and a ruler has helped to create really straight lines.

It is painted on a stretched cotton canvas that's ready to hang as the colours go around the edge.
Size -
11.8 inches x 10 inches
30cm x 25.5cm
Roughly 1/2 inch or 1.5 cm thick.

It would look great hung in a kitchen, living room, or bedroom, or in a quirky cafe, restaurant, or shop.

Postage will be first class and packaged flat with bubble wrap.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, and more modern artists/designers like Kate Moross and Pete Fowler.
