Original artwork description:

This mixed-media Acrylic and Ink painting was created predominantly “en plein air” in the very special and beautiful county of Yilan in the east of Taiwan. It was painted concurrently with the other Ricefield piece during a recent family trip. I would get up around 6 each morning to paint this beautiful view for a few hours before the daytime heat got too hot to paint outside. I love the ricefields and buildings in this area as they are very unique and it is so relaxing to see the greens and yellows swaying in the quiet wind. Over the course of a week this piece was built up slowly and I finished it at my studio in Taipei City upon returning home. As usual painting outside is never dull and always offers an array of changing challenges. When these pieces were started the morning light was very hazy and I couldn't make out the distant details, but as the week progressed and a nearby typhoon sucked away the clouds a huge mountain range was unveiled in background! I didn't add it into my pictures as I wanted to focus on other elements and details of the view, but I have taken some photos of the view with mountains for future reference. One new detail that appeared in the middle of the week that I added into the picture was the two farmers who were watering the fields and gave me the title for the piece.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
