On the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors lies Sutton Bank which is a very steep road climbing up from the flat Vale of York to the edge of the Moors. This painting looks north across to Lake Gormire and beyond. As I painted the shadows on the road it seemed to me that they made the surface look like a waterfall – hence the title. The greens, yellows and blues of the fields help create a sense of the expansive view from the tops.
The painting will be carefully wrapped and packaged in a strong, cardboard box and will include a Certificate of Authentication.
