A large and striking centre piece waterscape painting. This contemporary original oil on linen canvas is offered for sale ready to hang in a ´gallery wrapped´ presentation style that requires no additional framing because the painted image is intentionally continued around all of the edges.

This painting depicts the gentle mesmerizing movements that dance to the rhythm of the sea whilst evoking a real sense of calm and tranquillity. The meticulous blending of the paint, sometimes creating abstract shapes, provides a fairly smooth surface that encapsulates the fluidity of the water surface.

I think I am very lucky to have seen the sea virtually every day of my life, it thrills me to paint it and I never tire of painting it. And to put that into some form of context I began painting close ups of just water in the 1970s.
