This dragon is part of my series about dragons guarding apple trees. There are such guards in the myths of different peoples. For example, the ancient Greek Ladon, guarding the golden apple tree. Dragons guarding magic fruits, rivers, mountains and even cities.
However, I see my images, and I want to capture them on paper. I first sketched using gouache and then did a watercolor version.
