Original artwork description:

Painted during a very hot few days in the UK, my latest work on paper depicts a classic example of a plastic water pistol in blue against a soft yellow background.

I love the idea of turning these often throwaway toy items that you may get in a children's party bag into a piece of colourful pop art that you can own and display forever. The end result is a bold, bright, and very summery painting that would brighten up any room in the house. I love presenting items in a simple, pop art style, opting for graphic impact rather than realism.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca pen on thick high quality paper, and is part of a series of works done on the smaller paper size A5, hence the lower price. The series depicts smaller, more detailed objects.

The final image shows the other water pistol related works in my shop.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A5 frame for display purposes.
