These Water Lilies are painted with gouache on a rigid cardboard. Bright and vibrant pigments of high-quality paints are used here. I love the pleasant velvety surface that can only be achieved with gouache. It is a special professional gouache with the addition of a binding agent used in tempera paint, which makes the coverage more durable. The surface is also coated with varnish, so you can frame it without the need for protective glass. The small size of this painting also makes it suitable for gifting. And the subject matter may appeal to many Impressionism enthusiasts.
