Original artwork description:
Using a drawing I made from an illustration in the 1896 Royal Natural History, this is carved on what I guess is African Walnut. The wood's interlocked grain made it tricky to cut cleanly, but with time and care I got it finally trimmed. It's finished with tung oil.
Materials used:
African Walnut wood, tung oil, wax polish
