Original artwork description:

Woman watching TV with spent cup of tea/coffee. I apply the pastel in successive layers to achieve a soft structure with some areas having a more robust textured element. I use artists hogs hair brushes to manipulate some of the work to give it density. A Studland coloured board was used as I like the rigidity and fine surface.

Finally the pastel is fixed to protect it and the work only needs framing to to make it ready to hang and should preferably be framed under glass with a mount. A suggested frame width of at least 60mm or more for this size painting. Narrow frames on large paintings have tendency to not sit well and have a habit of warping.

Materials used:

Pastel
