Original artwork description:
Collioure in Southern France outside the ancient city wall. This is one of my favourite places on earth. Home of the Fauve painters in the early 20th century it is still a focus for the arts & artists. Typically, the thing to do is to sit at a table, drinking coffee, wine or Pastis and whiling away the hours watching the world go by. Or in my case sketching, so many opportunities. The original sketch was quickly drawn with a felt tip pen some time ago, just found it in my folio and thought it needed to be painted.
