Original artwork description:

This is a unique collage made with original 19th century engravings taken from damaged, broken and unloved Victorian books and magazines. I've used traditional methods using scissors, scalpels and archival glue.
I've been influenced by the collages of Max Ernst, and I've explored the same techniques that Ernst used when creating what has been called the first graphic novel "Une Semaine De Bonté", a surrealistic novel in collage.

Materials used:

Collage made with original Victorian engravings, mounted on card
