Artwork description:

This series of small prints were recently produced over the last couple of days whilst on my residency at Contains Art in the seaside town of Watchet, Somerset.

The monotype print explores an area of Watchet, looking at the buildings and th eandscape in the distance, working with printing inks and colour to form an aesthetic image that plays with form and entropy. The process observes a Zen practice by the application of colour and masking off areas with strips of paper, exploring through accidental incidences and determinist actions.

Whilst I am at Studio One at Contains Art I will be producing a range of monotypes of varying sizes as well as paintings of the area near the River Severn and Wales, which can be seen across the river.
