Original artwork description:

It actually seems to be washing day every day in Rovinj – or Rovingno, to give it its Italian name – as there always seems to be washing hanging out across the narrow streets somewhere! This formally Italian town just across the Adriatic from Venice, is now part of Croatia. Renowned for its natural beauty and attractive buildings, it is becoming an increasingly popular tourist resort.I painted this view, looking through a window in the apartment I stayed in the old town. With the turquoise sea beyond and a seagull on the roof, this is a typical Rovinj scene. I love the oldstonework of the walls and red tiles on the rooves.

“Washing Day, Rovinj” was painted on site in Rovinj, Croatia on Hahnemühle 600g mould-made watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes with a warm white mount to fit a standard frame size of 30cm x 40 cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
