This painting is a semi surreal portrayal of a child’s imagination...

When I started this painting I knew I wanted to create a playful image that portrayed the magnitude of a child’s playful imagination in comparison to their little forms. To watch a child play, we see something very different to what the child sees, their fantasy worlds are enormous and engulfing.

The composition focused towards the top of the page accentuates the downward feeling of the flowing water and puts the girls in a dreamlike position, they deliberately have no shadows on the ground which places them in a floating state, adding to the feeling of imagination and creativity.

It is painted on heavy, 100% cotton moulin du Roy paper, 300gsm, is flat and unbuckled. I ship in flat boxes of heavy card, waterproofing with an acid free paper covering.
