In creating this diptych, I sought to capture the visceral essence of nature's textures and layers through an abstract lens. Saturated tones and bursts of vibrant colour, explore the deep connection between the organic world and human emotion. Vibrant and pulsing with life, these works are designed to instil a sense of peace and contemplation, echoing the serene yet dynamic spirit of nature right into your living space.
This painting is one of the ‘Authorship of the Past’ series that I created a few years ago to bring that sense of the past into the present. All the paintings in the series are repaints of my earlier works (from my student days). Instead of using a brush, I used a trowel. This allowed me to convey the expression of the brushstroke, but still retain the existing texture of the paint. It was as if the old painting was choosing its future image. The new layers of paint retained the texture and in some places peeked through, leaving a piece of the old painting visible.

You will receive a professionally packaged and ready-to-hang work of art. Unframed. The canvas is stretched on a wooden stretcher. The edges of the painting are painted. The certificate of authenticity is provided.
