I painted this artwork in March 2020, during the first days of Quarantine here in Italy, trying to maintain an open and even optimistic spirit though living in a difficult situation.

MY VOYAGE INTO THE SEA INSIDE

A journey of discovery inside my body

inspired by the observation of the sea

I am facing a stream inside me
It’s the sea current

That I feel inside me

Its perpetual motion

Which leads me to question
My concepts of identity and boundaries

My watercolour paintings relate with a streaming vital energy inside

which oscillates continously

Looking at the sea at the same time
I perceive myself like a dewdrop that is part of nature

as I’m entering a realm of color inside of me.

Where energy flows constantly, where the whole organism never stops.

Thanks to the sea that makes me realize that I am never the same.

That everything changes, always.

That the only thing to trust is its current

And that’s fine like it is.
