I love the frenzy of Chinatown, especially at night, and am working on several different views. This is the first, the lower part of Wardour Street, where at night the street seems to glow in pinks and reds. I aimed, in this painting, to construct the street from the different shining lights rather than just painting the buildings reflecting light on them.
This is framed in a bespoke Whistler frame painted grey with a white slip and a gold leaf guild on the inner rim of the frame.
