This is a completely unique and original Preston M. Smith Pop Surrealist series of paintings on wood. They were just released from the artist's private collection and is the second in a series of black and white pieces with hints of vibrant color to accent certain aspects of the subject matter. They are a mixture of oil paint and ink on wood. The woman and man in these pieces stand defiantly staring out at the viewer, almost daring us to f#?k with them. They are like a street art, contemporary version of an old western Wanted poster. These paintings have a strong street/urban art feel to it and incorporates symbols and patterned shapes. they draw you in and intrigue you to know what the story is behind the defiant stare. These large pieces are priced to sell as a series (diptych) and are a great value to the collector. Note: These paintings are painted on wood and come in a black frame that was created by the artist himself. The collector might want to re-frame it, but that is up to his/her preference. The handmade quality of the frame adds to the street/urban quality of the overall piece.
