This wallpiece is my most recent exploration of the possibilities of my construction technique of layered lightly curved hammer-formed plates closely fitted over one another to form very low relief, delicately curved shapes.
The piece is formed by cutting and shaping brass sheets by hand, then patinaing them with traditional sculptural patinas applied while heating the metal with a torch, then bolting those sheets together.
This piece is fairly light in weight, making it easy to hang on any wall using a single nail or screw (or two if you want to hang it horizontally).
Like most of my pieces it can be hung any direction; horizontally, it has a fish-like form. This piece can be hung out of doors in a protected location.
Please note that international buyers will be responsible for VAT if applicable.
