In this vibrant textured piece, I've channelled the raw essence of a breezy moor. The blend of expressionism and impressionism infuses life, as the strokes suggest a rugged windy day in Summer full of colour with the scent of gorse and heather on the breeze. Look closer, and find the details of layers of colour and texture weaving through deft semi-abstract strokes inviting the viewer to feel the heart of the moor. With a hazy sky and tones of purple, green and red in the wild bracken your eye will wander over the textures in the foreground to the delicate clouds in the distance. It's a symphony of colour that promises to energize any space with its wild, untamed spirit.
An original artwork, one of a kind, the painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on deep edged canvas, the sides are painted white. I use impasto techniques layer on layer applied with a palette knife, which creates a contemporary painting, lying somewhere between abstraction and realism. A frame is not needed and it is ready to hang.
