WALKING IN HER SHOES refers to how we people tend to judge women without knowing their reality. It is painted in oils with collage on high quality linen. The background is gray and I have added texture to mimic the old walls in Cartagena, my hometown in Colombia. This artwork has so many elements that add interest to the viewer, making it a conversation piece. It is a painting about women and their essential role in society and the family. I have carefully chosen images from vintage magazines that show elegance, glamour and values. They are moms, therapists, beautiful, hard workers, cooks, doctors, and many times without needing a degree. All my paintings are originals.
